a curious click.-

It’s been a while since the last post. For an update to those who don’t know, I managed to get a job at a company called Ecotricity which so far has been going really well. This did mean however moving away from the much missed ocean. The lack of surf is starting to kick in I feel.

Anyway, please find below a random mis-mash of our time here so far. Enjoy!

Nobody has met our wonderful household companion Daisy yet, so it’s only fair that I share a picture with you.

The saddest looking thing when she wants to be, she will the next minute be stealing your food, socks, shoes, and pretty much anything else.

O, and if you want any of that back, you have to give up a hand.

#6 on the continuing random photos collection. In most ways I’m really enjoying going through our photos, finding ones that I missed on the first round of editing. In other ways, it makes me miss travelling more than ever, and having Grace all to myself for the most amazing 7 months of my life. Fortunately, I get to keep her next to me, and a new chapter of our life begins.

These photos are all from the trip to Machu Picchu, through the ‘secret’ way around the mountain road and along the train tracks. So here you are, a homage to the most beautiful man made place the world will ever know.

This photos is one from the Peru section of our travels. 5000m high, on a glacier, we are there struggling for air. So therefore, of course, appears a dog in the middle of nowhere. That’s Peru for you, a country of unworldly treats.

Although we are back from travelling, have moved house, and in a completely new life from travelling, there were many photos that got left in the dust of lightroom and hard drives whilst travelling. So, this is a bit of a hopefully daily/regular mix of photos that have never seen the light of the internet and public viewing until now.

I have been extremely slack as of present and do apologise, the troubles of being home ended up consuming much of my time. If you haven’t already seen the travel blog, please take a look at thefishtales.co.uk. It’s a very strange feeling being back, having hot water, clean food and people you recognise and who don’t try to sell you tubes of Viagra on the street. Being back in the cold was quite an awakening, but we have gotten used to it by now.

We had an amazing Christmas catching up with family and friends, seeing our much missed little relatives. I also managed to get a job which was a real bonus and part of the reason for flying back from Bali early, which definitely paid off. So on the 10th of January we move up to Stroud, quite a perfect location really in many ways as its central to all our friends and family.

Anyway, enough of that. Enjoy a select few random photos from the Christmas period. No order, no fuss, all yours. Until soon.

Well, 7 months, 70,000km later, we are back in the UK. It truly was a trip of a limetime, and we saw the most incredible things. If you wanted to look at any of the posts, simply go to www.thefishtales.co.uk. The plan is to put a collection and various ‘sets’ of images on acuriousclick.com and to update the blog to match the new website I created (bengatley.com)

So, expect new photos coming soon.
